Writer/Producer and Creative Coach Cortney Matz hails from Washington, DC, where she spent 10 years developing and marketing film projects for 1Voice Films. In 2010, she helped produce the company’s first feature, For The Glory – a true story of faith, love and soccer.
After making the move to Los Angeles in 2013, Cortney has run the gamut of occupations in search of her favorite. She currently freelances as a writer and marketing consultant, which gives her the freedom to develop independent film projects while investing in the Epiphany Space community.
Like most creative professionals, Cortney has an eclectic collection of talents – writing, music, art and cooking. Drop by Epiphany Space on any given day and you may find a teasing aroma emanating from the kitchen… surprise! It’s cookie day.
In 2016 Cortney emerges as Epiphany’s in-house creative coach. Schedule a few minutes with her to talk about your awesome creative goals. She will help make them even more awesome – and equip you to achieve those goals in a practical way that fits your life.
Cortney always has nine irons in the fire, but you can usually find her spear-heading our frequent Write-A-Thons (weekend writing marathons) as well as book studies and enrichment classes at Epiphany Space. All those Facebook posts we put out? She usually writes those too.
