Epiphany Space gathers freelancers, artists and creative professionals from around the country, both virtually and in person.
Since 2010, we have prioritized and continue to champion relationships, connections and identity for artists and entertainment industry professionals – where image and success can reign supreme.
“We want you to know you matter, no matter what’s going on with your career,” says founder Melissa Smith.
We currently gather and connect with artists online as well as in person, for those who are local to Hollywood, California and Columbus, Georgia.

Melissa Gibson Smith, Executive Director & Coach
Melissa’s passion is to see artists and creative entrepreneurs thrive on an emotional, physical, and spiritual level. This led her to launch Epiphany Space in Los Angeles with her husband, Brennan in 2010.
Melissa is gifted in helping people discover and experience their unique identity. Her masterclass, Healing the Soul of the Artist (which includes spiritual coaching
in groups, as well as inner healing sessions) help artists work through deep creative blocks and negative energy, which impact their ability to thrive.
Melissa creates a safe space of love, belonging, play, and creativity, which permeates the atmosphere of Epiphany Space.
After living and working over two decades in New York City and Los Angeles, Melissa and her family returned to live in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia.
Prior to establishing Epiphany Space, she was a hospitality executive and classically trained chef. Melissa is an ordained minister through the Apostolic Network of Global Awakening.

Becky Murdoch, Community & Development Director
Becky Murdoch hails from Detroit, Michigan. During college she dove head-first into a decade-long career in music which brought her to Nashville, and ultimately Los Angeles. It was there that she attended her first film festival which prompted her transition into film producing and volunteering/working at festivals in the Los Angeles area.
In 2016 Becky pioneered live event production for Epiphany Space in Hollywood, creating hundreds of opportunities for artists of all kinds to showcase their work and bringing a personal touch to what can be a very impersonal city.
Her backgrounds in music, film, and live events coalesced when she co-founded the Salute Your Shorts Film Festival in Hollywood, CA.
David Lee, Social Media Director
David Lee is an accomplished author, creator, and speaker from Columbus, Georgia, known for his book “The Heroes Handbook” and his leadership of the non-profit SowEpic, which promotes inclusive spiritual community in fandom spaces. He brings stories to life as the Dungeon Master of “Shire Adventures,” an actual play TTRPG series airing this summer. Additionally, he hosts “Show Epic,” a podcast that covers nerd news and fosters community among geeks in Columbus, GA. Through his diverse projects, David is dedicated to enriching the fandom community with engaging content and vibrantly authentic safe spaces.
