Meet Our Artists!

Meet Our Artists!

We are pleased and proud to announce the two new artists in residence at Epiphany Space! For the winter quarter, two members of our community will have one evening per month for three months to stage an event showcasing their work and the talents of the community.

Beginning January 24, we will begin showcase works by screenwriter Rice Omary and musician/dramatist Ben Boquist. We are very excited to support these artists and watch them flourish within the space. Here’s a little about each of them:

RICE OMARY is an emerging screenwriter based in Los Angeles. In addition to writing, she has worked for such shows as American Masters and Nature and feature films Liberty Kid (HBO/Glass Eye Pix) and The Architect (Magnolia Pictures). An avid film historian and amateur film narratologist, she has also contributed research to film history publications. She received a B.A. in Film from the City University of New York, during which time her student shorts were screened internationally.

2018 Artist in residence Ben Boquist

BEN BOQUIST is a songwriter, playwright and performer. A native of Ohio, Ben grew up traveling and performing with his family’s gospel band and has been writing songs since he was a wee thing. He is a graduate of the Academy for New Musical Theater (ANTM) and has performed at cabarets and dinner theaters around Los Angeles. In June of 2017 his original musical “Songs of the Fall” won an Encore award at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. He has also written and produced radio dramas, updated hymns and protest songs.
